Speedy Buttons — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 October 2026
Speedy Buttons is a reaction game. It has no ads, no analytics, no tracking and no third-party SDKs. You do not need an account to play, and the whole game works offline. This page lists everything the game sends anywhere, which is very little.
What stays on your phone
Your progress, settings, stars, achievements and records are saved on your phone only. The tilt sensor (used by one game mode) is read on the phone and never sent. The game does not use your location, camera, microphone, contacts or photos.
Online leaderboards (optional)
If you choose to join the online boards, the game sends:
- The name you pick for the boards (a nickname; it does not need to be your real name) and, if you choose one, a country flag. Your country is only what you select in Settings; it is never worked out from your connection.
- Your scores: game mode, difficulty, streak, best and median reaction time, the reaction times of the run, and when it was played.
- A random player key created by the game on your phone. It lets the server know a score is yours. It is not linked to your Google or Apple account, phone number or any other identifier.
Your name, flag and scores are shown publicly on the boards.
If you never join, nothing is sent.
Test reports (closed test builds only, optional)
Test builds of the game can send short reports about each finished run, so we can tune difficulty and fix stutters. Nothing is sent unless you say yes when asked; you can change your mind in Settings at any time. A report contains:
- How the run went: mode, difficulty, score, reaction times, why it ended.
- How the phone ran it: frame rate and late frames, screen size, phone model, OS version, battery saver and temperature state.
- A random install ID created by the game, and the build name.
The released version of the game does not send test reports.
Your IP address
Like any internet request, a request from the game arrives from an IP address. The server does not store your address. To stop abuse, it keeps a one-way scrambled (hashed) copy for an hourly rate limit, and deletes it within the hour.
Who handles the data
The leaderboard and test reports are stored on Cloudflare (our hosting provider), which processes them for us only. We do not sell, rent or share your data with anyone, and we do not use it for advertising.
All data is sent encrypted (HTTPS).
Deleting your data
You can delete your data from inside the game at any time:
- Settings → DELETE MY NAME removes your name, flag and every score from the server.
- Settings → DELETE SENT REPORTS (test builds) removes every test report your phone has sent.
- Uninstalling the game removes everything stored on your phone.
You can also email speederbuttons@gmail.com and we will delete it for you.
Leaderboard data is kept until you delete it. Test reports are kept until you delete them or the test ends.
Children
The game is not aimed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from them. The board name is a nickname you choose; please do not use your real name.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
